Wassily Kandinsky. Fixed Flight. 1932.
Oil on panel. 49 x 70 cm

Uma das imagens da rubrica Day in Photos do The Washington Post de 6 de Maio'09. Legenda:
«May 4 (release date): Several hundred never before seen galaxies glow in this "deepest-ever" view of the universe made with NASA's Hubble Space Telescope. Besides the classical spiral and elliptical shaped galaxies, there is a bewildering variety of other galaxy shapes and colors that are important clues to understanding the evolution of the universe. Some of the galaxies may have formed less that one billion years after the Big Bang. NASA-Reuters.»
Mas, oh ética jornalística, por onde andais! acabei por encontrar a mesma imagem no
Hubble site com outra legenda (e data): «About 1,500 galaxies are visible in this deep view of the universe, taken by allowing the Hubble Space Telescope to stare at the same tiny patch of sky for 10 consecutive days in 1995. The image covers an area of sky only about width of a dime viewed from 75 feet away.»

E eu que só pensava nas pinturas do Kandinsky, fiquei a olhar para este céu, colocando-me outras questões...
