Gostaria de ter visto este filme de Bill Carter... que regista cenas da vida quotidiana em Sarajevo, durante o cerco de 1994/95. Sitiada durante 44 meses, a capital bósnia foi palco do mais longo cerco na Europa desde o final da Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Cenas que não vimos na TV. Cidadãos tentando levar uma vida normal, determinados em manter o convívio social e em saborear a vida, apesar de serem os civis os principais alvos. O filme faz a crónica de um dos mais bizarros acontecimentos durante a guerra - quando vários artistas montaram um sofisticado concurso de beleza. A câmara segue os organizadores através de túneis e de ruas de Sarajevo que estavam debaixo de fogo. Humor negro ou testemunho de uma recusa firme por parte da população de Sarajevo em ser desmoralizada. O surrealismo contra o fanatismo. Ou, como dizia, Godard, a arte de viver.
